About Me
Who Am I? Why chose me?
My name is Olivera Popović, and I hold a degree in Serbian language and literature from the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade. Years of experience in teaching, translation, and writing have led me to work with a wide range of clients – from elementary and high school students to e-commerce store owners who need high-quality product descriptions and professional language editing services.
I work exclusively online, which allows me complete flexibility and full dedication to each individual client. I believe that knowledge of the Serbian language is an important part of personal identity, especially for those living and working outside the borders of Serbia. That’s why I’ve dedicated my work to bringing the Serbian language closer to everyone who needs it – whether it’s for learning, writing, translation, or professional communication.

One-on-one online lessons focused on grammar, reading comprehension, and writing practice – all tailored to the student's age and school curriculum. A flexible and personalized approach ensures that each student receives the support they need to improve their language skills with confidence.
Serbian Language for Children and Adults from the Diaspora
Live online Serbian lessons for children and adults living outside of Serbia. We practice speaking, listening, and writing, with a special focus on preserving the language and cultural heritage. Classes are held via Zoom or Google Meet, at times that suit your schedule.
Preparation for the Serbian Language Entrance Exam
An intensive preparation program for the Serbian language entrance exam, designed for 8th grade students preparing for high school. We cover grammar, spelling, literature, and essay writing in detail – with test simulations and personalized feedback to ensure progress and confidence on exam day.

Lessons are held online via Zoom or any platform that suits you. Depending on the student’s needs, a lesson can focus on grammar, literature, essay writing, reading comprehension, test preparation, or preparation for written and entrance exams.
We can schedule a conversation as an opportunity to get to know each other and assess the student’s specific needs.
I usually teach individually, as this allows me to fully focus on each student. By agreement, pair lessons are possible if the material is similar.
The standard lesson duration is 45 or 60 minutes, depending on the student’s age and prior arrangement.
I translate texts from English to Serbian – including personal documents, product descriptions, websites, blog posts, professional texts, and more.

I proofread seminar and thesis papers, motivation letters, CVs, advertisements, website and blog texts, literary works, and all other written materials in Serbian.
The time required depends on the length and complexity of the text. Short texts are usually completed within one to two days, while longer works may take three or more days, depending on the agreement.
